The 4th International Congress of St. Hildegard in Poland
"Hildegard of Bingen - Victory of feminine holiness"
Cracow, from the 6th until the 8th of October 2017
The Church", one reads in it, "gives thanks for all the manifestations of the feminine "genius' which have appeared in the course of history, in the midst of all peoples and nations; she gives thanks for all the charisms that the Holy Spirit distributes to women in the history of the People of God, for all the victories which she owes to their faith, hope and charity: she gives thanks for all the fruits of feminine holiness.
St. John Paul II, Mulieris dignitatem, n.31
Inspired by the apostolic letter of St. John Paul II we have decided that the 5th anniversary of the canonization of Hildegard of Bingen and announcing her as the Doctor of the Church would be an opportunity to look at her achievements through the prism of fruits of feminine holiness and genius - the title victories – those that took place 800 years ago and those that we are witnesses in those days.
This year’s edition of the International Congress of St. Hildegard will take place for the first time at the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, providing a unique atmosphere, conducive to reflection and concentration, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
